Ghanmarks Empowerment Model
NGOs, or non-governmental organizations, play an important role in addressing poverty, inequality, and other social issues around the world. However, many NGOs, particularly donor NGOs, take a approach of simply making donations without any further involvement in the communities they serve. While well-intentioned, this approach has been shown to be less effective in achieving sustainable change and may even perpetuate a dependency on continued donations.

Last year, GhanMark Foundation participated the Hope In Action program at the Diakonhøjskolen College in Aarhus, Denmark where our co-founder Frank Appiah participated and facilitated some sessions.
#HopeInAction is not just any program; it's a three-month, hands-on course rooted in the values of "diakonia." It is about equipping participants and activists with the knowledge, tools, and training needed to turn hope into action. It is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering individuals to unlock their potential and #drive #positive #change in civil society.
As an organization, we are excited about the upcoming session of Hope In Action from September 1 to November 22, 2024, hosted at the Diakonhøjskolen College in Aarhus, Denmark, and look forward to empowering our selected participants to unluck their potential in contributing to #sustainabledevelopment.
